Cercle
How it works

Real people, in the hour that counts

LinkedIn ranks what to show from predicted reactions, comments and how long people read — and keeps updating that as engagement arrives. Cercle is a group of peers in your field who find out you posted while it still counts, and who decide for themselves whether it is worth their time.

Step 1

Join a circle of your peers

A circle is people in the same field who post about related things. Join one from the directory, or start your own and invite people you already know. There is no upper limit — the more peers, the more of them are around when you post.

Step 2

Share a post you just published

Paste the link, or use the Cercle button on LinkedIn itself. Your circle is told while the post is still fresh, because engagement that arrives early is what LinkedIn's ranking has to work with.

Step 3

They read it and engage themselves

Everyone gets a notification with your post. They open it on LinkedIn and decide whether it is worth a like or a comment. Nobody is promised anything, and nothing is automated.

Step 4

Give before you take

After your first post, you engage with 3 posts from others before you can share again. The software enforces it, and a give and take board shows who contributes.

How much difference does a circle make?

More people means more of them see your post while it is fresh. It is not a promise of a number — everyone still decides for themselves whether your post is worth their time, which is the point.

What Cercle does cap is how much any one person can engage in a day. Engagement that arrives in a natural trickle from different people is worth more, and looks like what it is: people reading.

What Cercle will never do

  • Sign into LinkedIn on your behalf
  • Like, comment, post, follow or connect for you
  • Scrape LinkedIn, or read a page you have not opened yourself
  • Promise you a number of likes or comments
  • Sell engagement, likes or credits

That is what separates Cercle from Podawaa, Lempod and Linkboost. Those automate engagement from members' accounts, which is against LinkedIn's User Agreement and is why people using them get restricted.
